Summer Camp Programming

Camp ARCS (Activities of Daily Living, Regulation, Communication and Social Skills) is a unique recreational summer program for children & youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Run by our ABA Therapists and supported by our professional Autism Services Team, we provide a motivating environment for kids to experience the joys of various camp activities in small group settings. The camp builds on the interests and abilities of each participant while encouraging participants to explore peer relationships, self help skills, communication and self-regulation.

Here are a few of our frequently asked questions about the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and how we can help you navigate the system.

What government services are available for my child?

The Government of Ontario is re-structuring the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Some programs may continue to be funded, but you will also receive funds directly from the province to use to support your child. If your child has a diagnosis of Autism and you live in Ontario you can apply to the Provincial Government (Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services) for funding. This funding allows you to directly purchase services for your child from the provider of your choice.  Connectwell  is a provider option.

The Government changed to the funding model in February 2019. If you’d like more information about the changes to OAP, you can visit the Ministry of Community and Social Services website.

Who qualifies for funding?

All children and youth under the age of 18 with a written diagnosis of autism from a qualified professional can register for the program.

How do I apply for funding?

In order to apply for funding you must first register for the Ontario Autism Program, you can contact the Ministry’s Central Intake and Registration Team at 1-888-444-4530.

Once your registration is complete, your child will be added to the waitlist.

You will receive a letter from the Ministry when it is time for you to apply for funding.
