ConnectWell Community Health Centre – Lanark Site

We offer dental care for children and seniors through a partnership with the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit.

Oral health is an important part of your overall health.

In partnership with the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit, ConnectWell Community Health Centre – Lanark site has a dental suite to provide better access to oral health care for the north Lanark population.

What services are available?

A registered Dental Hygienist is available by appointment to provide preventative services, including:

  • Cleanings
  • First year/first visits
  • Screenings
  • Sealants
  • Fluoride varnish
  • Oral health education
  • Emergency care

Who can access this service?

  • You do not have to be a client of the Health Centre to access this service.
  • Children and youth under 18 years (through the Healthy Smiles Ontario program)
  • Seniors 65 and over with income threshold of $19,300 for a single individual or $32,300 for a couple (through the Ontario Senior Dental Care Program)

ConnectWell Community Health Centre – Renfrew County Site

The new Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program will provide free, routine dental services for low-income seniors who are 65 years of age or older.

What services are available?

  • Check-ups, including scaling, fluoride and polishing
  • Repairing broken teeth and cavities
  • X-rays
  • Anesthesia
  • Removing teeth or abnormal tissue (oral surgery)
  • Treating infection and pain (endodontic services)
  • Treating gum conditions and diseases (periodontal services)

Dentures

Dental prosthetics (prosthodontic services), including dentures, will be partially covered. Please contact Renfrew County and District Health Unit at 613-732-3629 ext: 661 for more information.

Coverage Period

Once you are enrolled in the program, your coverage lasts for up to one year. All coverage will end on July 31st each year, no matter when you first enroll. For more information about this, visit Ontario’s Senior Dental Care Program Website.
