Position Description: As part of the Autism Services multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, intervention and consultation for clients from preschool-age to adults, virtually or in-person. Your work may also include participation in group programs and training other professionals and parents. The SLP works collaboratively with Autism Therapists, Occupational Therapists, BCBAs, Behaviour Therapists and other professionals. The SLP is supported by the Manager of Family and Developmental Services and adheres to the policies and procedures of ConnectWell Community Health. This is a full-time position (35 hrs/week, 1.0 FTE), located in Carleton Place (travel throughout Lanark, Leeds & Grenville).

Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
• Registered or eligible to be registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
• Experience with a range of services for autistic clients to support their communication development including assessment and individual treatment
• Experience in working with clients and their families in group programs, individually, parent-training and consulting to other professionals
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary program or team, including collaborative goal-setting
• Additional training, education and/or experience in AAC and Neurodiversity-affirming care
• Familiarity with government-funded programs for children and youth including Entry to School, PLAY Project and/or other Caregiver-Mediated Early Years programs

Conditions of Employment:
Hours of work within a 35-hour work week will be developed in collaboration with the successful candidate to ensure a healthy work-life balance. A schedule of work will be based on the organization’s hours of operation and program requirements and may include some evening and weekend work.
