All About the Urgent Care Clinic

Urgent care clinics are one available to primary care clients of ConnectWell Community Health Centres.

The urgent care clinic is not a walk-in clinic. You must call ahead before 9:00am to book your appointment for your urgent needs.

The Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) is for the recent or sudden onset of a sickness. The UCC runs daily from 9am-10am.

CALL 911 or go to the nearest emergency for
ALL EMERGENCY TYPE ISSUES
Such as chest pain, trauma, head injury, severe pain

 

Do use the Urgent Care Clinic for

  • Recent or sudden onset of sickness such as a sore throat, ear ache, cough, rash, fever
  • Minor injury such as minor scrapes, cuts, muscle strains, etc.

Do not use the Urgent Care Clinic for

  • Chest pain. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room
  • Anything that may require an x-ray as a result of fall, or trauma. Go to the nearest emergency room
  • Renewal of prescriptions
  • Routine monitoring of your health condition
  • Completion of forms

 

After Hours Telephone Coverage for Lanark Site

After regular hours, clients with urgent concerns can contact 613-259-2182, and reach the “on-call” answering service. The on-call, after hours service is to provide triage, support, direction and prevent unnecessary ER visits for clients of the centre.

After Hours Telephone Coverage for Renfrew County

If you do not have a doctor or nurse practitioner or cannot access your doctor or nurse practitioner, call VTAC at 1-844-727-6404.

This service is covered under OHIP.

Please note: If all you require is a refill of your regular medications, first contact your community pharmacist to see if they can help you without the support of a practitioner. If you are unable to refill your medications call VTAC for further support
