ConnectWell Community Health is seeking a Program Assistant with experience in supporting children with Autism in an early learning environment. These are part-time positions, 17.5 hours/week (possible additional hours).  The Program Assistants are on-site 3.5 hours per day, from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday.  These positions begin January 5, 2026 to August 7, 2026.  ConnectWell is looking to add you to our Entry to School program team in Brockville & Carleton Place!  This position includes the option to participate in Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).

Position Summary:   ConnectWell Community Health partners with ACT Learning Centre to provide the Entry to School Program in Lanark, Leeds & Grenville Counties (a school readiness program funded under the Early Years Pillar of the Ontario Autism Program). ConnectWell hosts the Entry to School program at our sites in Carleton Place and Brockville.

 Qualifications:

  • Secondary school diploma
  • Post-secondary education in communication disorders, Autism behavioral science, child development, psychology, early childhood education, developmental services, social services or other related disciplines
  • Knowledge and experience working with children of various ages in community and/or childcare settings
  • Knowledge and experience of Autism and other exceptionalities
  • Knowledge of the principles of learning and behaviour
  • Experience in the early learning or school classroom setting providing direct support to students
  • Demonstrated ability and proficiency in working collaboratively with regulated providers such as Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavioural Analysts and other community partners

Reporting Relationship: The successful candidate will report to our Program Manager, Government Funded Early Years.

Pay Rate:             $23.93/hr – $28.15/hr
