Counselling Services

Counselling services are available at ConnectWell Lanark for adults 18 years and older who are experiencing non-urgent mental health concerns. Our qualified, registered staff take a client centered approach. This means you are involved every step of the way, and they will help to support you to meet your mental health needs and goals. Services are time limited and can be accessed in-person or virtually either at the Lanark or Carleton Place locations. It is necessary to self-refer for counselling.

How do I know if I am ready for counselling?

Counselling requires you to self-refer, to be available to keep a set number of appointments and be willing to participate in the counselling process.

If you are experiencing a mental health and/or social crisis that needs immediate support, it is best to wait until those issues are addressed before starting counselling.

If you are accessing counselling elsewhere, we ask that you complete your sessions with that counsellor before requesting services from us. We also ask that you use all 3rd party benefits for counselling therapy before seeking counselling services at ConnectWell.

We provide time-limited, short-term counselling. We do not provide intensive, longer-term, or specialized mental health and/or addictions counselling. If you think you need more intensive services, please speak with your primary care provider, or contact AccessMHA www.accessmha.ca

To self-refer for counselling services, please call 613 259-2182.
