Who is Eligible for Our Programs

Therapeutic riding lessons are available to residents of Lanark and Renfrew Counties and the Greater Ottawa Area who have physical and/or developmental disabilities.

Applicants age 3 and up will receive a home visit to discuss their needs and goals and to determine their ability to participate in the program. Riders must be able to sit upright on their own and obtain a doctor’s referral endorsing their participation.

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Developmental Delay
  • Down Syndrome
  • Hearing Impairment
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Poliomyelitis
  • Speech Impairment
  • Spina Bifida
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Stroke
  • Visual Impairment
