ConnectWell Community Health is seeking a Lifeguard for the summer at our Summer Day Program. This is an hourly term contract.
Position Summary:
Lifeguard: We are looking for a qualified Lifeguard to provide services at our Summer/Day Programs that are located at our Respite Homes within Lanark County. Experience with individuals with special needs an asset. This position includes pool maintenance and meeting Ministry standards.
Qualifications:
• Certified Lifeguard
• Experience in working with children/youth & adults with special needs an asset
• Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Provide a safe, fun and stimulating experience for individuals accessing the pool
• Supervise individuals when swimming and maintain pool to Ministry standards
• Work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility in completion of job related tasks
Reporting Relationship: The successful candidate will report to the Program Coordinator.
An offer of employment will be conditional upon the candidate completing a Vulnerable Sector Screening which includes a criminal reference check and proof of COVID vaccination (2 doses).
