The ConnectWell Community Health Respite Program provides respite services to caregivers who need a break from the daily responsibility and care of a loved one they support at home.
Caring for a loved one with special needs can be tiring. We offer many programs for short-term respite, but sometimes you may need a little more time. We have respite homes located in

- Carleton Place
All homes provide round-the-clock respite care in a friendly, family atmosphere.

The ConnectWell Community Health respite Program provides a wide variety of programming facilitated by qualified workers. Here is a sampling of the programming we provide:
Summer Day Camps
We offer a variety of summer camps including Autism Speciality Camps.
Out-of-home respite
Respite workers accompany your loved one to community activities and outings.
In-home respite
Respite workers support activities for your loved one in your home allowing you to attend to other duties or just get a break.
Bus trips
Bus trips are scheduled to a variety of activities such as concerts, sports events, or museums. These can include families and siblings.
Girls Nights
An evening program for teens aged 12-16/ Some of the activities include preparing meals, social skills development, scrapbooking, crafts, socialization or just hanging out developing new friendships.
Guys Nights
An evening program for teens/young adults. Some of the activities include preparing meals, social skills development, scrapbooking, crafts, socialization or just hanging out developing new friendships.
Autism Saturday Program
Au-some Saturday Program is a specialized program for children/youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (7-17 yrs.) This program focuses on classroom based learning through recreation. It is structured to include fine motor/learning centres and recreation based activities.
Kids Just Like Me Program
Kids Just Like Me Program is a specialized program for children 4-6 yrs. with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This skill based program runs using ABA principles and guidelines.
