The Lanark Early Integration Program (LEIP) supports the inclusion of children with special needs in licensed childcare settings, EarlyOn child and family programs, and approved recreation programs at no additional cost to parents/guardians. Referrals to LEIP are made by the early childhood professional.
Our Resource Consultants provide childcare providers with supports, training and consultation needed to ensure children with special needs fully participate alongside their peers.
This is accomplished through:
- Program consultation
- Individual Support Plan consultation
- Training, workshops, seminars
- Transition to school consultation
- Inclusion Support Funding application process
Eligibility: Families with a child between the ages of 0 and 12 living in Lanark County and whose cognitive, physical, social, emotional or communicative needs, or whose needs relating to overall development, are of such a nature that additional supports are required.
